Visa application procedure 

Applicants can find all the necessary information required to submit a visa application at the following website:
http://www.in.ckgs.se/

Please note all visa applications have to be filled online.

Check list for making a visa application:

  1. The original passport valid for more than 6 months from the date of submission of application with minimum of 2 blank pages.
  2. Two passport –size photograph with front view against light background, not older than six months.(one to be pasted on the application and the other to be attached)

  1. Visa fees must be paid directly to the IVAC:

Payments for applicants in Sweden can be made through bank transfer using the Bank Giro Number: 108-8509 or by Credit /Debit Card/Cash at their counter.

Payments for applicants in Latvia can be made through bank transfer using the Bank Account Number: LV26UNLA0050020543625 (SEB Bank) or by Cash/Credit/Debit Cards at their counter.

  1. Other documents depending upon the purpose of your visit (Refer to Types of Visa).
  2. Visa clearance form and copy of personbevis, (if you do not hold a Swedish or Latvian passport).

In case, CKGS is unable to give clarification to the applicants satisfaction, the Embassy can be contacted by email (preferred) atvisa[at]indianembassy[dot]se or on telephone no.

08-684 32 121 / 122 / 123 between 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM.

The Embassy takes 2 working days to issue all types of visas for Swedish and Latvian passport holders, provided application forms are complete in all respects. During peak season (mid-August to mid-January), four working days may be required for Swedish and Latvian passport holders. Three additional working days are required for all other passport holders.

Note: It may take minimum 30 days for Pakistani origin/Pakistani passport holders, Swedish alien passport and Swedish travel document holders.
